Dry Waste
Dry waste is well, anything dry that will stay dry and not degrade. Paper, Plastic, Metal, and such fall in this category. When in doubt, toss it in here. This then typically goes to a Dry Waste Recycling Center (DWCC). However, Whitefield doesn’t have one :). So today, if you give all your dry waste to BBMP, not all of it will find a good re-use which was your original objective. Hence, on this one, it is important for you to be vigilant. Only 20% of this Dry Waste is considered “High Value”. If you live in a community, it may be worthwhile to engage some trusted agencies such as Saahas or Waste Wise Trust and have them process your dry waste for you.
