Skills program for economically disadvantaged youth of Whitefield/Mahadevapura

To provide employment to the low-income youth of our area, Whitefield Rising is facilitating 100% scholarship-based skills-development program in partnership with established NGOs in the skills sector who we plan to bring to our area every few months, in rotation. First up, we plan to bring The Nudge Foundation, which is supported by Nandan Nilekani & Tata Trusts .They provide training and job opportunities for the youth through a 100 days residential program called “Program in Life Management”,conducted in their Whitefield Bangalore facility.
We request your support for mobilizing youth (men and women) in the age group between 18-30 years of age from low-income families. The 100-day residential program comes with a 100% job assistance in Bangalore with a strong foundation in Spoken English for the workplace, Computer Literacy, Financial Literacy, Employability and Life Skills. The vocational skills imparted include Driving, Sales, Beautician, and Plumbing.
Here is how you can help:
1. Read the attached digital pamphlet (in both English & Kannada), and forward it to your contacts through social media.
2. Be a “champion volunteer” in your community/area by popularizing the free scholarship through your maids/drivers/cooks and other low-income groups and help enroll some school dropouts/unemployed youth (age group 18-30).
3. Bring these candidates and their families for an orientation session plus enrollment at Ramagondanahalli Government School (near Jagriti Theatre) on SUNDAY 16TH JULY at 10 am or 12 noon . We urge you to attend too. If the candidate can’t attend, pass on their details to Manish on WhatsApp (9900150418)
4. Any questions please call Dhanush of Nudge foundation (9611330749) or Manish (9900150418)
